This is the information from last month’s Union Meeting furnished by the Business Manager. The January 2012 information was from his first Union Meeting as Business Manager in February. These snap shots in time highlight my concerns of raiding the Industry Advancement Fund to pay for two failed General Fund Dues increases. The General Fund should be paying for Organizers. This occurred during the best employment we have seen in a very long time. “Available for Future Work” dollars can produce astounding results. Examples – $10 / hour subsidy produces a $64.83 (total package) / hour return of 641% or a $20 / hour subsidy produces a $64.83 (total package) / hour return of 324%. Where can you get a better return on your money legally? It’s your Money!
